When you are booking a celebrant to conduct maybe one of the most important days of your life, then it's essential that you know what kind of a person they are and a bit about their background. After all, you are entrusting them with an occasion of the greatest importance to you.
So here we go then. I live with my little dog Miley in Clacton on Sea and I'm a Clacton girl born and bred. I love Clacton's beautiful seafront and you will often find me walking or riding my bike along it when I have free time.
I'm a glass half full kind of a person and like to make each day of my life meaningful and count for something.
And now for the work bit…
My career in the newspaper industry spanned over 20 years and I loved it. I got to meet so many different business people and helped them with their marketing, I organised exhibitions and business award presentations as well as launching motors and lifestyle magazines.
It was a varied and very fulfilling career. In more recent years I owned a tanning, hair and beauty salon and I currently own a fabric and haberdashery shop in Clacton-on-Sea.
I decided to become a celebrant as it seemed an excellent choice for me. It really ticks all the boxes. It’s so worthwhile, I can make a difference to people’s lives and really help them, and all of my working life experiences can be called upon to achieve this.
My commitment to you is that whatever I do, I always do my best and take great pride in my work. And just to let you know…the first funeral I did was my own mother’s who passed away suddenly, just as I passed my final celebrant examinations with Regent Academy where I achieved a distinction. Now that funeral was a tough one to do as you can imagine
